HWPL’s WARP Office meetings that to communicate and pursue peace with religions
Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) New Zealand branch hosted the 15th World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office meeting on January 23, 2017.
HWPL's WARP Office meetings are held every month in both Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand.
For this dialogue, religious leaders from Islam, Mormon, Christian, Sikh faiths participated and discussed ‘Religions’ Role on Achieving Peace.’
Akshdeep Singh Gahir, Representative of Auckland Sikh Community emphasised the importance of this meeting.
Anna Featherstone (Mormon), Shafiq ur Rehman (Islam, Ahmadiyya) and Akshdeep Singh Gahir (Sikh) who participated in the dialogue agreed to actively engage in HWPL’s WARP Office by accepting the differences within the religions.
Religion is and always will be a core influence in determining the trends, outlooks and progression of our society.
According to the International Bulletin of Missionary Research (IBMR), there are 500,000 religions in existence and of the 7.2 billion people in the world over 85% of the population identify themselves as being religious.
Our world inevitably confronts questions and issues with religious undertones that have deep effects on our generation and future generations.
HWPL has turned its eyes to the alliance of religions initiative through the promotion of interfaith communication among religious leaders who play an integral role in educating their congregation about differences in religious beliefs which should not hinder the progress of establishing world peace.
The religious leaders have tried to seek the concrete standards of trustworthy scripture in finding a true essence of religion and role of religious leaders in achieving peace and cessation of war comparing each religious scripture.
This approach of peace project by HWPL has its findings that religious conflicts account for over 80% of world conflicts, so ceasing this is crucial for peace.
Among various nations, global conflict zones such as the Middle East, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Nigeria have also opened WARP Offices and are taking proactive steps toward peace.
Let’s make world peace by putting our mind and the will together beyond nation, race and religion.
World peace, possible dream! World alliance of religions will be the period. Cessation of war, world peace is not impossible matter. We can achieve.
Please read the 'WARP Summit' for more information about peace activities of HWPL.
