Alexandria, a city near Washington D.C. in the State of Virginia, recently formally declared that Sept.18th would be known as HWPL Day.
According to the HWPL, on April 20th, the City of Alexandria, Virginia, US, recently declared Sept.18th to be the official HWPL Day.

The mayor of Alexandria, Virginia, William D. Euille, proclaimed 09.18.2015 to be the Day of Unification of World Religions.

The proclamation of Alexandria was based on the ideals of HWPL in that future generations of human beings should cherish love, generosity and life as the most precious things in the world. The proclamation of Alexandria was based on the purpose of introducing the region's people to the HWPL's idea of Heavenly Culture.

Accordingly, all the affiliated departments, organizations, groups, educational facilities, religious institutes and citizens will celebrate the Day of the Unification of World Religions. This celebration was proclaimed with an oath from the mayor and marked with the official seal of the city.

Government agencies around the world are also actively supporting the peace movement of Chairman Lee and this action in Alexandria is not the only example.

The Ecuadorian Congress has recently voted on a resolution to accept and support Chairman Lee's activities. This governmental acceptance and support of the actions of an NGO is thought to be very unusual.

Chairman Lee and the head of the International Women's Group, Nam Hee Kim, a supporter of the HWPL, received a letter of declaration two years ago from Carson City, California, that they would annually recognize May 25th as HWPL Day. This letter was received during Lee and Kim's sixteenth overseas trip to the United States.
This HWPL letter of declaration was announced for the first time on 5.25.2013 by US broadcaster ABC News.

● Peace Agreement in the Bafokeng Kingdom and the enacted HWPL Day

During Chairman Lee's 17th overseas trip last march, the Bafokeng Kingdom in South Africa also established an annual HWPL Day. During the Royal Bafokeng Kingdom's festival of peace, her majesty Mmemogolo Semane Molotlegi, the Queen Mother and Chairman Lee signed a peace agreement and established May 25th as the annually recognized HWPL Day. They also pledged to hold peaceful celebrations to commemorate this event. Furthermore, an unveiling ceremony was also held to honor a special peace monument to recognize the HWPL's activities.

About WARP

Meanwhile, last September 17 to 19 at the Jamsil Main Stadium, the 63 Building and in front of the gate of peace at the Olympic Park in Seoul, Korea, there was an HWPL gathering for world peace that included twenty thousand foreigners from more than 170 countries.

These participants were ordinary citizens concerned about world peace as well as political leaders, religious leaders and women's and youth groups' leaders.

Certain groups focused on different aspects of peace. For example religious leaders advocated for peace through religious unification and a group of former and standing presidents and Supreme Court Justices pledged to enact an international law for the cessation of war.

Chairman Lee, a Korean War veteran, played a leading role in ending the 40 year dispute on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines last January. PTV, the national broadcast company of the Philippines, and ABS-CBN, the largest private broadcast firm of the country, extensively reported on Mr. Lee's peace-promoting activities.

More recently, Lee took his 17th overseas trip in the name of world peace. Over the past three years and covering 70 different countries, Chairman Lee has met with a full spectrum of individuals ranging from former and current presidents, religious leaders, women and youth groups, as well as the press from scores of public and private broadcasting stations in his appeal to get them to join his movement for the cessation of war and promotion of peace.

25 May 2013, HWPL Peace Walk

This event marked the official proclamation of the Declaration of World Peace, announcing an era of change and most importantly, of peace.

The declaration of World Peace presented an outlined method to achieve what centuries of wars and peace efforts had failed to establish.

"The Heavens and the Earth formed by the hands of the Creator have been given to humanity as an inheritance. In all the universe, life in its vast splendour exists only on our world.
The life that grows on the earth is sustained from above - by light, by the rain, and by the air they provide unconditionally to all living beings. We have received the precious gift of life from above, let us give glory to heaven, and live in peace on earth. This is the truest teaching of heaven.

As emissaries of World Peace ; as people who are working towards the restoration of humanity through a new and heavenly culture, we declare the following : We call on the heads of state of every country to sign an international agreement - a commitment to bringing all wars to an end. We ask them to do this from a spirit of deep-seated love for the people of their country.

We call on all youth to unite in an effort to stop wars and pursue the restoration of peace by agreeing not to fight one another. For World Peace to become a reality, this is the duty of all youth, everywhere.

The only way to stop the fighting and pointless, tragic deaths, is to stop fighting. Nobody can ask for anything greater than this, and know that your efforts - the efforts of the young people of the world today in pursuit of peace - will remain as a never fading light of life for all future generations.

Furthermore, we call on every person, every man, woman, and child in the world, to pick up the mantle of peace. In whatever way you can, we ask that you work to further the cause of world peace and restoration, making it a reality in your direct environments.

Lastly, we call on the media to report responsibly and promote a message of peace to the world. World peace and restoration has begun at the same time this declaration is proclaimed.

Thank you.

- Peace Activist Man Hee Lee

The words of the declaration inspires every person to envision how peace might be achieved, sparking a responsibility in the hearts of the youth - a spark which quickly grew into a blaze of hope, bringing light and warmth to communities and opening the door to a new outlook.

Over 30,000 youth representing 130 countries including the United States,Portugal, Greece, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Belarus and Columbia gathered to participate in the event. Following the Declaration of World Peace, they hosted a peace walk along the main road, calling for the cessation of wars.

※ About WARP

▣ Statement of Intent

While it may, in most cases be too simplistic to say that ideological differences based on religion or culture are the cause of war in our world today, it is not too much to say that these differences are exploited to heighten the community’s propensity for violent behaviour.

Through the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Summit, HWPL seeks to create a forum for dialogue centring on the creation of a commonly acceptable value-system between secular and religious communities in all socio-political sectors of our divers societies.

Such a value system will form the basis for the creation of peace agreements and a universally applicable constitution of interfaith relations, as well as education materials which can be used across the spectrum of humanity’s diversity to begin revolutionising the basic precepts of our cultures and ideologies which provide the central tenants promoting conflict and violent behaviour.

Man Hee Lee Peace Quotes

WARP summit 18 September 2014, DAY 2

All these religions say that they have been established in the name of God.  If that is so, they should belong to God.
Then, according to the will of the true God, they must be offered to Him.  Under one God, the alliance of religions must take place to create a world of peace with no more religious conflicts.  In such a world, God must reign and all mankind must attend to God.

Man Hee Lee Peace Quotes
If you say that you are the upright religion, truly acting according to God’s will, then let us offer our religions to God, the rightful owner.  Let us stop these conflicts, for religions were His to begin with.

The current religions today are no longer within the will of God.  They have become beyond corrupt that they are more like religions of the devil rather than religions of the true God.  One cannot deny that the quarrels, fights, murders, cursing, and judging among the religions are the actions of the devil.  Therefore, all religious leaders must offer their religions to God and become one under Him.

Former president of Croatia, Stipe Mesić (former president of Yugoslavia) remarked, “This peace conference is truly a groundbreaking event. I have never seen so many presidents and religious leaders take part in one event for peace.”

He added, “I find Chairman Lee’s idea very surprising and astonishing. I am confident that this event will have a constructive effect in achieving world peace and the cessation of war.”

Leader of the Islam faith, Edmond Briama said, “All changes must start with someone. It is imperative that the delegates and religious leaders who have gathered here today for the cessation of war and world peace begin the international peace agreement.”

Compliments of the arrangement and the discipline of the organization followed.

Sahul Hameed Athambawa, president of a religious organization of Sri Lanka, said, “I attended many conferences including those in Austria and Norway.

However, this is the first that I have seen such a well systemized conference.”

He added that the “opening ceremony, which gathered over 20,000 people” was when there was “ true transcendence of all races, nations and religions” and expressed that he was “truly happy to take part in the event.”

The genuineness and coordination of the host of the event is seen to have contributed to the attendees’ views of South Korea.

The president of the Brazilian Protestant Pastor’s Organization, Antonio Sadi Bazinail, stated, “I began to respect Chairwoman Kim and Chairman Lee when I witnessed the true concern they had in achieving world peace.

Before coming here, I did not know about South Korea, however, seeing their respect for foreign guests and diligence made me see how great South Korea has become.”

No religion, race, or thought could extinguish the fervor of the attendees.

The amazement came from the fact that all people could be gathered in unity for one purpose: the fulfillment of peace.

(The attendees) expressed their confidence that peace would be made possible after seeing the world peace summit.

The following content gathers the voices of the guest speakers who shout in unison,
“Now is the time for the Alliance of all Religions and achievement of peace.”

“The Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light is a ‘great light’ which will enable us to unite. We must spread the heavenly culture to the world…”

“The Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light is a strong light that guides us. This organization allowed us to gather in one purpose transcending all religions, thoughts, races, cultures, societies, and economics.

Just as Chairman Lee came to Mindanao, the rest of the world must also work together through the heavenly culture. Heavenly culture must begin with us.”

“We as believers of one creator must have the same faith…”

“The root of conflict and war do not necessarily stem from religion itself, however, from the extremists and misinterpretations of one’s own religion.

If we truly love peace, just as Chairman Lee has mentioned, we must all have the same faith. We all believe in the same God.

This was the first time in my life since I have seen such an immense conference.

I request for Chairman Lee’s insightful plans to be shared even more with other non-governmental organizations so more conferences like this one will be held in the future.

“Religious leaders must come together not for their own thoughts or authority but to spread peace and security”

“The international conference was a great opportunity for people to come together in dialogue and unify all thoughts in going against war and promoting peace.

Religious leaders must not work for their own thoughts or authority but for peace and security.”

“The most important goal in the history of humanity: world peace”

“The reason why we have gathered together in this World Alliance of Religions Peace summit is to achieve peace. Peace is in our hands.

The greatest goal a person can have is fulfilling peace, it is what is most important in the history of humanity.

However, peace cannot be achieved in absence of love. We must first love one another (within religion) just as the word of God.”

“Although we can speak of peace with our words, it is difficult to take action.”

“The fact that many religious leaders have gathered together in discussion of peace shows that this conference was an exceptional event. HWPL is rightfully merited for their efforts.

Although many can speak of peace, it is difficult to take action.

However, it is made possible when all overcome the boundaries made by race, religion, ethnicity and one’s own thoughts.

“Education must be given to surpass the boundaries of religion, culture, and conflict and differences within religions”

Some people use religion as a tool for politics or terror. This is not to be accepted, and we cannot make a world around a culture of disputes.

Any mechanism that arouses persecution against any nation or religion must come to an end.

All religious leaders must give education which will help to pass over the boundaries made within religions.”

HWPL, WARP Summit 2014,
◆ Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL

Man Hee Lee
What can we leave to our future generation? Isn’t it peace? Shall we leave behind war, the tearing and killing of each other?

It is a dishonor to God to create conflict with each other. The true God does not bring about conflicts which kill people.

If we truly want to fulfill world peace, we must first make religion into one.
