Civil activist Man Hee Lee is the Chairman of the HWPL and its trending world peace movement.
Government organizations and groups around the world have been participating in the world peace movement, especially relating to the anniversary of the HWPL's activities.
● Alexandria, Declaration of HWPL Day on Sept.18th
Alexandria, a city near Washington D.C. in the State of Virginia,recently formally declared that Sept.18th would be known as HWPL Day.

According to the HWPL, on April 20th, the City of Alexandria, Virginia, US, recently declared Sept.18th to be the official HWPL Day.
Between 09/17 and 09/19/2014, the HWPL hosted the World Alliance of Religions Peace Summit in Seoul, South Korea. One event held during the summit was the signing of the Agreement of the Unification of Religions.

The mayor of Alexandria, Virginia, William D. Euille, proclaimed 09.18.2015 to be the Day of Unification of World Religions.
The proclamation of Alexandria was based on the ideals of HWPL in that future generations of human beings should cherish love, generosity and life as the most precious things in the world. The proclamation of Alexandria was based on the purpose of introducing the region's people to the HWPL's idea of Heavenly Culture.
Accordingly, all the affiliated departments, organizations, groups, educational facilities, religious institutes and citizens will celebrate the Day of the Unification of World Religions. This celebration was proclaimed with an oath from the mayor and marked with the official seal of the city.
● The National Assembly of Ecuador resolved to support
the Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light movement.

Government agencies around the world are also actively supporting the peace movement of Chairman Lee and this action in Alexandria is not the only example.
The Ecuadorian Congress has recently voted on a resolution to accept and support Chairman Lee's activities. This governmental acceptance and support of the actions of an NGO is thought to be very unusual.
Chairman Lee and the head of the International Women's Group, Nam Hee Kim, a supporter of the HWPL, received a letter of declaration two years ago from Carson City, California, that they would annually recognize May 25th as HWPL Day. This letter was received during Lee and Kim's sixteenth overseas trip to the United States.
This HWPL letter of declaration was announced for the first time on 5.25.2013 by US broadcaster ABC News.
● Peace Agreement in the Bafokeng Kingdom and the enacted HWPL Day

During Chairman Lee's 17th overseas trip last march, the Bafokeng Kingdom in South Africa also established an annual HWPL Day. During the Royal Bafokeng Kingdom's festival of peace, her majesty Mmemogolo Semane Molotlegi, the Queen Mother and Chairman Lee signed a peace agreement and established May 25th as the annually recognized HWPL Day. They also pledged to hold peaceful celebrations to commemorate this event. Furthermore, an unveiling ceremony was also held to honor a special peace monument to recognize the HWPL's activities.

Meanwhile, last September 17 to 19 at the Jamsil Main Stadium, the 63 Building and in front of the gate of peace at the Olympic Park in Seoul, Korea, there was an HWPL gathering for world peace that included twenty thousand foreigners from more than 170 countries.
These participants were ordinary citizens concerned about world peace as well as political leaders, religious leaders and women's and youth groups' leaders.
Certain groups focused on different aspects of peace. For example religious leaders advocated for peace through religious unification and a group of former and standing presidents and Supreme Court Justices pledged to enact an international law for the cessation of war.
Chairman Lee, a Korean War veteran, played a leading role in ending the 40 year dispute on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines last January. PTV, the national broadcast company of the Philippines, and ABS-CBN, the largest private broadcast firm of the country, extensively reported on Mr. Lee's peace-promoting activities.
More recently, Lee took his 17th overseas trip in the name of world peace. Over the past three years and covering 70 different countries, Chairman Lee has met with a full spectrum of individuals ranging from former and current presidents, religious leaders, women and youth groups, as well as the press from scores of public and private broadcasting stations in his appeal to get them to join his movement for the cessation of war and promotion of peace.
