HWPL Conference, An interfaith Dialogue of Scriptures in Wellington, New Zealand

HWPL Conference, An interfaith Dialogue of Scriptures in Wellington, New Zealand

August 12, 2015, HWPL(Chairman Man Hee Lee) NZ Branch hosted the second interfaith dialogue of scriptures in New Zealand, Wellington.

Under the theme of ‘Conflict and Peace mentioned in each religion’s scripture or text’, each religious leader delivered a speech based on their scriptures. Speakers included Mr. Janmashtami Krishna Das representing the Hare Krishna faith, Dr. Rajiv Chaturvedi representing Hinduism, and a Christian scholar Mr. Christopher Matthews.

After the speech, participants expressed positively that “we get to understand each other through this scripture dialogue and we take a step forward in harmony despite our different religions.”

Afterwards, participants witnessed the peace movement directed by Chairman of HWPL, Mr. Man Hee Lee and Chairwomen of International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), Ms. Nam Hee Kim through a hope-filled and inspiring video.

Mr. Man Hee Lee's vision of peace is for the agreement to be signed by representatives of all cultures, religions, ethnic groups, and governments in the world, thus providing common grounds on which resolutions for conflicts, and ultimately the cessation of wars can be achieved.

With each new meeting, entire communities are showing their support for the movement by signing this agreement - a sign that Mr. Man Hee Lee's message is one that truly resonates with the hearts of the people.
