World peace activist Man Hee Lee, Chariman of the HWPL, participated in the 2nd Annual Commemoration of Declaration of World Peace and the unveiling ceremony for the Monument of World Peace. He returned to Incheon Airport on Jan. 27th.



When Chairman Man Hee Lee was interviewed upon his return, he said that he was primarily touched by the end of the 40 year dispute, the erection of the World Peace monument and the sincere thanks that many people gave to him and that he tried to return. Also, Mindanao has changed from a highly volatile conflict zone to a peaceful region. 






Chairman Man Hee Lee and his peace group assisted in the creation of the peace agreement on January 24, 2014, between the Catholic and Islamic faiths on the island of Mindanao, Philippines, one of the worst conflict regions in Asia. Through that opportunity for peace, government troops and rebels signed a formal peace agreement and Mr. Lee's peace activities have been evaluated as being decisive in ending the 40 year dispute.

January 24th Proclaimed as HWPL Day


Magindanao, Mindanao, Philippines proclaimed this Jan. 24th as HWPL Day, in commemoration of the peace process. 

The event celebrating the 2nd Annual Commemoration of Declaration of World Peace was held in the Bluean Gym in Magindanao, Mindanao last Jan. 25th. Attending this event were Islamic and Catholic religious leaders, politicians, and military officers, including a rebel leader, who participated and pledged to keep and build on the peace they have achieved.

A peace monument was established, commemorating the end of 40 years of conflict.


In particular, the unveiling ceremony for the Monument of World Peace was conducted to celebrate Mr. Lee's peace achievement in this event.
The head of the IWPG said that the Monument of World Peace is a symbol and evidence of peace and that Chairman Lee's visit to the island of Mindanao, Philippines, will be a definite cornerstone in the accomplishment of world peace.

A spreading global consensus on Chairman Man Hee Lee's peace movement has been
explained by HWPL. HWPL Sectary General Dong Min Lim said that he realized how much the people of Mindanao, Philippines, yearned for peace and is planning to erect peace monuments in the US, Ecuador, Bangladesh and China.

He also reported that the HWPL has been showing a practical approach to achieve peace through the unification of religion and an enactment of an international peace law with promising former and current presidents, politicians, Supreme Court justices and religious leaders since the last peace summit on Sept. 18, 2014.

All people have to convey the message of peace... 

Chairman Man Hee Lee explained that the former and current presidents, politicians, Supreme Court justices and lawmakers have been working to enact international peace laws and religious leaders have been working to open offices to compare and educate each other about their religions.

The head of the Philippine's Bar Association, Vincent M Hoyas, stated that the Philippines will actively support the enactment of this international law.


Mr. Man Hee Lee emphasized that all people have to convey the message of peace and becoming a peace advocate is a very important thing to do. He also exhorted that we have to inform the world that the achievement of peace is not for personal gain work, but is for all of us. He also said that the purpose of this visit to the Philippines is to spread peace all over the world so that we, together, can achieve global peace.
