An International Law that could help for the cessation of war and achieving world peace.
It is time to think a new approach in bringing peace to the world other than the approach the international community has been utilizing so far to bring and maintain peace. There is need to have a binding law that could help for the cessation of war and achieving world peace.
The world should cooperate for a binding law that could bring all peace stakeholders: religious people, the youth, women and others, together for the same vision.
HWPL presented an International law for the cessation of war and achievement of world peace as a solution to bring about peace to humanity and an instrument to dispose of all means that initiate war and armed conflicts.

The Declaration for the attainment of humanity’s goal

On March 14, HWPL held 'Proclamation Ceremony of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War' in Seoul of South Korea. The formal Declaration has been proclaimed for the attainment of humanity’s goal and peace.
Also the Declaration motivates many to start to hope again for a world where tragedies caused by war have ceased and to add their voice to help make the world a peace filled place.

The ten major Articles
The Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War comprises ten major Articles : Prohibition of threat or use of force, War potential, Friendly relations and the prohibition of acts of aggression, State boundaries, Self determination, Dispute settlement, right to self defence, Freedom of religion, Religion, ethnic identity and peace as well as spreading a culture of peace.
This is just bringing the efforts of the youth, women, religious people, media practitioners and politicians together.
It is working to mobilize the entire people to stand for peace and influence groups who have been attempting to destabilize the world and maintained such unstable situation to cease from their ill-activities.

Leaders, decision-makers, and heads of state are the ones who must fully acknowledge the value of the Declaration and practice the principles of the document to reduce and eventually stop armed conflicts, if they truly loved peace, their country and their people.
Pledges in support of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War will add legitimacy to the document and greater weight in urging our leaders and heads of state to view and support what the citizens view and support, letting our demand for peace be heard.
Also, each pledge will strengthen the voices that the Declaration represents and demonstrates our sincere efforts and wishes to bring forth peace transcending borders, nationalities and cultures.
