HWPL Peace Festival 2016 ③ IPYG Card Section Performance

Global leaders around the world began to discuss action plans for advocacy and implementation of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) at the WARP Summit. 

There is a variety of interesting attractions including card performance and various performances for the Peace festival which is on live all over the world.

At the Peace Festival on the second day of the Summit, the IPYG Card Section Performance was displayed with the title "War and Peace." 

Reminding the participants of our duty for making peace in our times, the eye-catching images of peace initiative made by 12,000 cards have been the symbol of HWPL's peace initiatives.

About 12,000 members of the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) have volunteered to participate in the card section performance in order to world peace and cessation of war. 

Many people was fascinated by their more wonderful and newer card section performance. And their fine performance drew enthusiastic applause.

"The work that HWPL is committed to requires that a tremendous amount of people become united by a single purpose and work together on such a level that has never been witnessed in the history of the world - peace. I would not trade the chance to see this performance for any other performance in the world."

A world of peace desired by humanity has been devastated by the roaring cry of war. Images created by the combination of each card from 12,000 youth provided atrocities of war and loss of human value in the last century. 

The message "Do you think you are safe now that wars are over?" gave a strong impression.

War is still in existence and the horrible destruction of life threatens our daily lives, as the cards showed another message - "We are still living at war." 

Wars destroyed houses, schools and infrastructure, but, more seriously, the impact of violence on a daily basis resulted in the loss of human dignity. 

Which side are you going to choose between War and Peace?

We need to end war which brutally kills people even children. This generation needs to hand down the peace not the war.

Chairman Lee has suggested the answer to peace which is 'world alliance of religions' and  ‘cessation of war declaration of international law’.

People said that “chairman Lee’s answer to peace is very practical and groundbreaking”.

The initiatives are 1) support from leaders of states by signing signatures, 

2) participation of youth and women in peace-building projects, 

3) delivering messages of peace through media.

HWPL is leading the effort to create a peaceful world by launching a worldwide movement and to solve various disputes and global conflicts.

Through WARP Peace Summit 2014, HWPL signed an Agreement to Propose Approval of International Law for the Termination of War and World Peace. 

In September 2015, HWPL launched the International Law HWPL Peace Committee, which is composed of international legal experts, professors, and justices world.

In March 2016, HWPL proclaimed the Declaration on Peace and War Termination (DPCW), along with international legal experts from various countries.

Following the declaration, the Campaign “Peace Act” (global advocacy movement that aims to establish international peace law consistent with DPCW) have been performed around the world. Since the beginning of March, 535,493 people from 167 different countries have signed their support for DPCW.
